|Barbour Icon Collection Haydon Wax Coat - based on the affectionately know Uncle Harry's coat. The earliest example of a jacket made from waxed cotton. John Barbour had moved from Galloway in the Scottish Borders to South Shields and set about protecting and clothing the fishermen and merchants of the port area. First introduced in 1910 the Haydon is a 3/4 length coat with velet collar, it had two ample pockets and wind cuffs to prevent rain getting up the arms. A very versatile all-round weather proof jacket.
